why this blog exists

This blog exists because on September 28th, 2008
I am leaving for Peace Corps service in Madagascar.
After 3 months of training (and learning Malagasy),
I'll be posted as a community health educator for 2 years.

When I'm able, I'll post things on this website.

During training, my address will be:

Tom Myers, PCT Peace Corps
Corps de la Paix
B.P. 12091
Poste Zoom Ankorondrano
101 Antananarivo
Madagascar

Letters should take 2-3 weeks,
and envelopes should be marked "Airmail" and "Par Avion"

Great Blog Tom-
I've really enjoy reading about your adventures in Madagascar so far. Hope the rest of your trip goes as well and you're able to really make a difference. But I need to hear more about eating bugs!! Every slurp, crunch & wiggle..
Take care,
Keith

I loved reading this and can’t wait for future installments to hear more about your experience and life in Africa. In the meantime, I am going to start greeting everyone by stating the obvious also – you are reading my comment. I’m also calling my flip flops “scooby doos” for now on :)

Stay safe and enjoy – watch out for those witches.
